v2.0.0 - Afresh

Released 2019-05-10

Greetings.

I first made my web-based resume in January of 2013. I knew very little of web development and had, at the time, little but freelance experience. Luckily it was enough to land a job.

A year later, in February of 2014 I released my full personal site with AnchorCMS. It included my original resume along with a portfolio and posts that no one wanted to read. It landed me my next job, however.

I did not change jobs again for nearly 4 years...and in keeping with tradition, my site stayed the same. When it came time to job hunt again, I simply printed out my old web-based resume (slightly updated) and landed my next job.

It's time for a change.

This site is simple little PHP app deployable to Heroku. It uses the Macaw Router and Parsedown. The content elements are a combination of Markdown and PHP sprinkled through some html files. I am utilizing the Bulma CSS framework as it is new, refreshing, and fun.

The site is laid out with a "Changelog", which will feature a list of posts (like this one) on pertitent things and insightful insight, and "Features", which acts as my web-based resume.

I wanted to be able to add content by simply adding a Markdown file, commit it to the repo, and pushing it to master and letting Heroku take care of deploying it.

Enjoy, and welcome.

P.S. I do not plan on re-posting all my old posts or portfolio pages. If you are curious, ask the Wayback Machine.
